| Cancer--lead in water & nearby factories. Too many gas stations & automotive businesses that don't get rid of old engines & other auto parts in a healthy way. | I think there are two main causes- one being lack of knowledge. I do not believe that my community is fully aware of the resources to help with addiction problems. The other being a lack of resources. My neighborhood is not wealthy and many of our community members cannot afford or do not have time to become aware of solutions for these problems. | NPU 2 |

| I think race plays is the primary factor. Many of these neighborhoods were undervalued because of the proximity to manufacturing and railroads and thus populated by mainly PoC for the better part of the 20th century. There has been little investment in these neighborhoods and it follows that quality parks and groceries would not operate in an area where they are not incentivized to do so. Money is also an important factor in access to healthcare as well as preventitive measures like a well balanced diet or the leisure to exercise. It's no secret that these neighborhoods are overwhelmingly poor and black wish unfortunately puts people at the intersection of a HOST of medical problems. | NPU 2 |
