About me
I am a first-year medical student at Morehouse School of Medicine. My educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, with a minor in Biology (2015) from Florida A&M University, and a Master's degree in Interdisciplinary Medical Sciences (2019) from Morsani College of Medicine. As a chemist, I have gained experience in research labs and have given multiple presentations with inspirations to invent and analyze innovative products and medical processes. A few topics that I conducted research on includes Hepatitis C virus and the development of a rate-based massive blood transfusion protocol. As a graduate student, understanding of the human body has been attained through in-depth study of cancer biology, musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and gastrointestinal systems. Along with being a first-year medical student, I am also a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army and a recipient of the F. Edward Herbert Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP).
